Ordering on Line

After selecting the goods you wish to buy from our on-line shop, just follow the simple instructions as they appear on screen.

Please note, when ordering/buying a complete bicycle on-line, it has to be assembled and set up before it is dispatched. This may delay delivery by several days during busy times. However, we believe it is well worth the wait! Your bicycle will be dispatched as soon as possible after assembly.

Single speed/junior bicycles are supplied factory boxed which means some adjustment and assembly is required. This can include attaching pedals, set up of brakes, straightening handlebars and attaching stabilizers where necessary.

Contract

When you place an order to purchase products from PedalPower, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we have dispatched that product to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the confirmation e-mail to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in the dispatch e-mail to have been dispatched do not form part of that contract.

Payment

Telephone orders – simply telephone us on 01467 624323 and we will deal with your order personally.

On-line orders - if your card issuer rejects payment for your order, goods will not be dispatched to you. We reserve the right to decline any order and in all such cases a full refund of any payment made will be refunded directly to the purchasing cardholder's card.

We regret we do not deliver outside the UK at the present time.

You can pay for your purchases by Switch, Visa, Access, Mastercard, Delta and all other major credit/debit card cards.

Description of Goods

It is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all products. All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available by contacting us directly using any method on our contact page. Despite our best efforts, there may be pricing errors in our catalogue. Rest assured, however, that we verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures. If a product’s correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and send you the product. If a product’s correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatch or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the value of the incorrect price.

Cookies

We do not use persistant ‘Cookies’. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. This site uses “non-persistant” cookies to maintain state between you and our server, once you leave the site this information is lost. This site does not save information to your computer hard-drive in the form commonly known as “Cookies”. If your browser does not accept non-persistant cookies you will not be able to use the sites shopping facilities.

Applicable Law

This site is created and controlled by PedalPower Cycle Centre in Scotland. As such, the laws of Scotland will govern these disclaimers, terms and conditions, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of laws. We reserve the right to make changes to our site and these disclaimers, terms and conditions at any time.

Back Orders

If the item you order is not in stock we will back-order the item for you. Notification of back order and estimated delivery time will be given at time of order confirmation. You will be given the option to cancel your order if you do not want to wait for it.

Delivery of Goods

We will dispatch your order within 2-4 working days from confirmation of your order.

Carriage

Our methods of carriage are by CityLink 24hr delivery for large items such as bicycles, trailer bikes, home trainers and trailers. A charge of £10.00 per item applies to all City Link deliveries. Smaller lighter parcels are dispatched by Royal Mail or ParcelForce at a cost of £3.00 per parcel. The most economical method of carriage will be applied to your order and you will be advised at time of order confirmation which method of carriage will be used.

Returns

Risk in any Product shall pass to the Customer upon delivery. It shall be the responsibility of the customer to insure products against all risks from the time of delivery.

You may cancel your purchase of goods by notifying PedalPower either by email or fax within 7 working days from delivery of your order. Goods must be returned to PedalPower promptly. Goods must be returned intact, in original packaging and in unused condition. The purchaser will be responsible for the safe return of goods and the cost of return. In such cases an exact refund of the original cost will be made to the purchasing Credit/Debit Card. The customer shall be liable for the return costs of any and all goods recovered by PedalPower.

In the unlikely case that your goods are faulty, please contact PedalPower by e-mail or fax for returns procedure.

As soon as goods are delivered to your specified delivery address, you will be responsible for them. Goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk. May we ask you to carefully examine the products when they are delivered prior to you signing the drivers delivery note. Any transit damage to the goods, shortages or in-correct goods supplied must be noted on the delivery note at the time of delivery. If you are unsure of damage and you can see that the packaging is damaged then underneath your signature sign ‘unchecked’ and contact PedalPower immediately.

Transit Damage

Please inspect your item carefully before signing for it. If the goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the carrier’s delivery note and it will be your responsibility to inform us within 2 days of delivery. Items signed for as ‘received in good condition’ cannot have a transit claim levied against them at a later date under any circumstances.

Shortages

It is the customer’s responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier’s delivery note and it is the customer’s responsibility to notify us of any shortages within a reasonable time from delivery date.

Non-Deliveries

In the unlikely event of non-delivery of goods, please contact PedalPower immediately in order that we may track/locate your goods.
